We offer Infinite Baffle, aka Free air Subwoofers. These subwoofers are designed to provide bass without a sealed enclosure. Perfect for marine applications. On the other hand, if you want tight crisp bass, a sealed enclosure will always win. That’s why we offer the Wetsounds Stealth AS Powered enclosures. Marine audio subwoofers fit well under gunnels or in hidden compartments and provide plenty of bass.
Depending on where the amplifier will be located. If you have an ocean going vessel and the amplifier is anywhere in a harsh environment (exposure to any combination of heat, humidity, or salt), then a marine grade amplifier is highly recommended. When talking about power rating, we suggest looking at RMS Power. But that’s not all. You’ll also want to research the frequency response and make sure the subwoofers resonate frequency pairs well with the rest of your system and most of your music preferences.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Audio upgrades on Malibu, Mastercraft, Bay Liner, Sea-Doo, and Searay can be pretty straightforward. Ocean going vessels such as Ocean Yachts, Beneteau, Birtrams, etc can be more complicated. Either way, our technicians are skilled enough to make a clean and factory looking installation.
